About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Sight4, LLC ("Sight4", "we", "us"). When these terms take effect, using this website, joining the waitlist or using Sight4 early-access software will mean you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them once they do.
If you use Sight4 for an organization once these terms take effect, you'll be agreeing for that organization and confirming you're allowed to do so.
What they cover
- This website, sight4.com.
- The waitlist.
- Free early-access versions of Sight4 software, such as the Sight4 browser extension and the Sight4 desktop helper for AI coding tools.
Paid plans and the console aren't available yet. They may come with their own terms, and we'll ask you to agree to those before you use them.
Early access
Sight4 is in early access. The software is free during this period, it's still being built, and it may have bugs. We may change features, pause the software or stop offering it. Early access doesn't come with a service level or a promise of support, though we'll try to help at support@sight4.com.
Sight4 helps catch sensitive data before it's sent to AI tools, but it won't catch everything. It's one layer of protection, it can miss things, and you remain responsible for what you share.
You need to be at least 18 to join the waitlist or to install early-access software, on your own device or someone else's. If you install Sight4 on a device someone else uses, including someone under 18, you're responsible for having the right to do so and for any notice or consent the law requires.
Using the software
While you follow these terms, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to install and use Sight4 early-access software for yourself or for your organization's internal use. We may end that permission as described below.
Sight4, the Sight4 name and logo, this website and the software belong to Sight4, LLC or its licensors. These terms don't give you any rights to them beyond what's written here.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- use Sight4 to break the law or anyone's rights, or to monitor people without the notice or consent the law requires;
- try to get around Sight4's protections on a device you don't own or manage;
- attack, overload or try to break into this website, its API or our systems, or submit other people's email addresses to the waitlist;
- sell, rent or redistribute the software as your own, or remove notices about who made it;
- reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it or an open-source license permits it.
If you find a security problem, please tell us at info@sight4.com rather than exploiting it.
Open-source components
Sight4 software includes open-source components. Each one is covered by its own license, which comes with the software. Where an open-source license gives you rights that conflict with these terms, that license wins for that component.
Your privacy
Sight4 checks what you send to AI on your device. Your prompts aren't sent to us. Our privacy policy explains what we do collect, such as your waitlist entry, and how we handle it.
No warranty
The website, the waitlist and the early-access software are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement, and any warranty that Sight4 will catch every piece of sensitive data, be error-free or be available without interruption.
Some places don't allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Sight4 and its owners, employees and suppliers won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from these terms or from using or being unable to use Sight4, even if we were told they were possible.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about these terms or Sight4 is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Sight4 in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited, or takes away rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived.
Stopping and ending
You can stop using Sight4 at any time by removing the software. To leave the waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any waitlist email or write to us. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering early access. The sections on ownership, no warranty, limitation of liability and governing law still apply after that.
Governing law and disputes
The law that governs these terms, and where disputes about them are decided, will be set out here before these terms take effect. Until then, if you have a problem with Sight4, please write to us first at info@sight4.com and we'll try to sort it out.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. For a significant change, we'll also tell you before it takes effect, for example by email if you're on the waitlist or in the extension's release notes. If you keep using Sight4 after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
